were StreetCar all
about then?.... Well....StreetCar were a bona fide, down to earth, hard working covers band, playing a broad swathe of musical styles from Soul to Funk to Rock to Pop to Rock' n ' Roll with the odd tilt of the cap toward Reggae, NY Punk and even Swing, all with immense style, energy and panache... StreetCar were at home in the intimate confines of a crowded, dingy basement bar. They were equally at home at an elegant wedding, a festival, a corporate event, or up on a concert stage that would not disgrace any big name band. StreetCar were well travelled, being in popular demand in their native Edinburgh and the Lothians, Glasgow and the West, Dundee, Aberdeen, St Andrews, the Highlands and Islands, and even as far afield as France After ten hard years on the road, Streetcar finally called it a day, playing their last gig at Melville Castle near Edinburgh on the 15th July 2010. |
