Ok, this entire website has been Streetcar's opportunity to throw hype, self promotion and other such nonsense at you. This page is dedicated to recording the honest, bona fide opinions of some splendid individuals who have either booked the band for an event, or who have simply come along to a StreetCar gig.........

McPhails, Leven, Fife. (30th June 1999 - debut gig)

"...the best band I have ever heard in here." (Maggs Welsh)
"I would like to book you for four more dates... when are you free ?" (Venue Manager)

Glengorm Castle, Isle of Mull. Wedding:

"...Thank you all for making our wedding a rocking event." (The Groom).

The Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh. Wedding:

"Please thank everyone for the performance at our wedding. I've lost count of the number of people who said they thought " the band " were fantastic ! Your performance really did top a special day for both of us..... ...Streetcar were superb. They are great people with great talent and a way of making a party kick off. I only wish the rest of the wedding had been as easy as dealing with Streetcar. They were very professional and just really nice people." (The Groom).

The Abbey, Edinburgh.

"I am going to have to book you guys for more dates. The punters keep asking when you are coming back !!" (Kevin, venue manager)

WhistleBinkies, Edinburgh.

"My colleagues and I just came in here for a few drinks after the show. I did not expect to hear anything like this. You are a stunningly good band. You have made my evening, thank you. " (Musical Director of a well known Lloyd Webber musical co-incidentally playing at the Edinburgh Playhouse)

The Kingsknowe Roadhouse, Edinburgh.

"You were gleamin' man, gleamin' " (a Geordie punter)

The Scottish Motorcycle Show, end of show party, the Blind Poet Hall, Edinburgh.

"Every year we have live bands play here. Every year the women complain they don't like the music. This is the first year they have not complained!" (The event organiser)

Chateau, Normandy, private party.

"StreetCar just made my party." (Party organiser)

"Enjoyed your music very much."
(She who plays Suzanna Farnham in some TV programme or other)

"A sterling effort.............!!" (A guest in a green tweed suit)

"Kickin....!!" (Bob, a guest from London)

The above comments are merely a random sample from the many hundreds that have entertained StreetCar during the short years they have been gigging live. Question is, who cares what your average covers band gig punter thinks ??

Well......StreetCar do. Absolutely. Folk who forsake their CD collections and TVs from time to time and venture out to hear local live music, ensure that it remains a vibrant and vital scene.

If the local live music scene remains vibrant and vital, then that kid round the corner who plays guitar and sings may one day get up in front of a pub or club audience to do his or her thing. And who knows, it could be the next Cole, Clapton, Presley, Marley or Madonna...........................

Profound or What !!.......Beam me up Scotty !!
